    Matching color - underside repair?

Good old fation wing dam damage on under side, idled up on it and backed right off of it! Did it a few years ago and figure it's time to take it on. It's a bone colored haul ( very lt tan)and damage is about 1 " x 8" and it's on a strike. The whole gouge is down to the black but, no further. Question is will wet sanding be enough to match if I just use white? If not, about how much die would I use? Any other tips are welcomed. Boat is an '04 Triton.

Wet sanding will do nothing to match tan to white.

You'll need to use tan gelcoat to try and match , or use white Marine - Tex and tint it tan to match.

Once you get it on and cured, then you can wet sand it smooth and try to match.

Evercoat makes a gel repair kit you can use, or use Marine - Tex and get a separate tube of brown tint and match your color, Tint the gel or marine - tex before you add the catalyst to harden it.

When repairing the gouge on the strake, make sure to match the parameters of the strake to keep the angles the same as they were.
