    Best "least invasive" restoration products

I will be dedicating an entire weekend to detailing my car and my boat. Both are in need of some TLC as the boat was recently purchased ('99 Stratos) from someone who wasn't nearly as anal as I am. I am looking for any waxes, finishers, scratch removers, polishes, etc that I could use to bring out some shine. I figure if I need to take on a "sand down" project I will at a later date. For now, I wanted to test my detail skills and bring out a little luster. Overall the boat is in decent shape, just in need of a detail. Any recommendations? Places to purchase products? Thanks.

Read thru this post at the top of the board. Using a buffer, you can compound and glaze the gelcoat to get it looking new if there is no real oxidation on it.

Thanks a lot for that info, perfect! I'm hesitant to sand just yet, I'll have to re-evaluate the surface scratches first. I think the rubbing compound and glaze should take care of them though.

They have discontinued the glaze that is listed.

What else can be used in its place?

Maybe, the one that replaced 3M Perfect-It 3000 Final Glaze and the one that 3M recommends...
