I have a 1993 Ranger 481V with the flipping deck. My question this? What the heck is the hinged door that swings up from the floor up under the deck itself for? There is already a door on top of the deck itself. I am little confused. Thanks!!

It's hinged to fold flat if you ever want to remove and store it. It's also there to make recarpeting the boat more fun...
No kidding. By the time I got to that point when I recarpeted the boat, my hand was killing me from all the riveting. Is it supposed to attach to the floor or something to keep it from swinging?
Yep, it's supposed to screw to the floor.
