Well guys I found and joined your BBS a couple weeks age and have read almost every post about ya'lls restorations and I have learned soo much and put a lot of what was said to good use.. THANKS for helping out a newby.... anyways here goes...
I went to Ft. Campbell Ky to get it from Memphis, tn. Nice road trip with my son.. Expecting something almost ready for the waterwell after my first SHOCK of the real condition of the boat

my 2nd thought was my wife was going to kill me for buying this but..... All the way home I could see the end result of me and the wife on the lake and lots of us time...( yeah right )
I figured I had rebuilt a car/truck several times in my youth so I started searching the net and found all you guys.. So I started by removing the badly decayed carpet, the 10+ spliced wires, rotted seats and all the dash switches. Cleaned all compartments. Rewired everything with no splices, ordered new seats, gages switches and carpet.
I took the boat with me to the Fire station every chance I got. put new carpet in front to back, new dash, steering wheel, seats, re-routed all the wires as to be hidden and neatly tucked away. I also made bunker boards on bottom and the sides with 2x8 and added PVC guides just to help me see backing the trailer up and a guide when loading the boat.. ( not to bad for 3.00 worth of PVC). I sanded the trailer down and painted it with this speckled paint and man does it look great and custom.. added some LED lights for the bling bling affect...LOL
Next the boat goes in for its motor checkup and tune up... Then its BASS Time...for me and the wife and kids...
Starting to put the new carpet in...
lots of scraping the old glue off...
a little paint never hurts...
The semi finished pics..
The seats look great ( ebay $104.00)
my cheap PVC guides..i will add small lights to the tops later..
the paint came out great...
Still have a few things I would like to fix/replace but who doesn't...
** THANKS to all you guys who post your pics and ideas with your knowledge..**
