    Soft spot!!!

I have a soft spot in the floor of my 1989 201 stratos right around the drain in between the seats. Need some advice on repair. I also live in south Ga. could anyone recommend someone that does boat restoration at a reasonable price.

You will need to remove the bad area of the floor and replace it. If you are lucky, it will just be around the drain area. That area needs to be removed. Cut the bad area out in the shape of a square, so the new piece can drop right in. You will need to add some type of lip under the floor to support the new piece. I would cover all exposed wood with two (2) coats of epoxy resin, to seal it so moisture can't get in. Install the floor area, add a couple of strips of 3-4" fiberglass cloth down the seams, soaked with epoxy resin to seal the seam. Let it dry and recarpet.

Once you remove the bad section, poke around under the floor and check out the condition of the rest of it.
