    injector removal

    Hi everyone

    I have a 01' 225 fitch model # E225fpxsif, serial #G-04929153

I want to know if it is ok to remove injectors to send out for flow ck and cleaning.

it sat for 4 yrs. I'm told. I've preped her up now the
Motor runs @1500rpm with throttle advanced on muffs, @1000rpm it runs but lopes a little, in neutral putts a couple times then stalls. Fuel pressure 30psi while running. comp is 125 on all cyl. today I noticed oil leaking out of the prop (not much) I think injectors maybe clogged and/or leaking ??? Im a rookie asking for help to get this motor running.

    thx

Yes they can be removed and sent out for calibration. http://www.dfitechnologies.com can fix you up. Follow the proceedure in the shop manual and you will be fine. There is a very good shop just up the road from you, Barnacle Bills that can fix you right up. Check them out here http://www.etecownersgroup.com.

No, carb spray or something of that order will wash the cylinders of oil.

If you are going to cleam them that way then use the DeepCreep, the spray form of SeaFoam.
