Silver metalflake turned green

Bought a 93 Skeeter that was silver and blue flake on a white hull. The blue flake still looks good but the silver has a green tint to it. The gel coat is in excellant shape. I buffed it in hopes that the green tint would disappear but it didn't. It may have turned a little more silver but still has the green tint. Is there anything I can do to make it go away? If not since it is kind of a pretty color and very consistant on the whole boat I was thinking of re gel coating the blue to a color that won't clash with the silver/green. Any suggestions?

If its heavy oxidation you're talking about...I would recommend wet sanding a small area to see if it disappears. Start with 1000 grit, the 1500, then 2000. Wash surface good between each progression. Use LOTS of water and do the 2000 grit twice. Use
very light pressure. And go over it again and again. I think you'll be amazed at the
results.

Thanks for the reply, I will give the wet sanding a try. The gel coat is in great shape and is super smooth. I guess just buffing it out may not be enough!
