    Painting a Boat

I have a boat I would like to get repainted. It was sitting for approx 9 years ( the last 1 or 2 years with no cover). This has caused the paint to crack all over the top and it also has heavy oxidation. I have tried to buff it to no avail....... its way beyond that. It was only effected above the rubber strip around the boat.... so I wont mess with repainting the bottom.

So........ what I am wondering is if I can take this to a normal auto painting shop or If i need to find someone that specializes in painting boats. I live in the Dallax/Ft Worth Texas area. Any advice you could give me would be great.

    Thanks

Is it metalflake? Are you wanting it back a solid color?

Right now it is black with Silver metal flakes.......... I would much prefer it flaked as they look so much better that way.
