I'm hoping someone can let me know what to use to remove the boat numbers (stickers) from the hull of a boat without damaging the finish.
Thanks in advance!

Try "Ooops!" or "Goof Off".....both available at Lowe's.
Take a hair dryer and heat up the letters (NOT TOO HOT)! The heat will "soften" them and they will remove very easily.

I agree with the blow dryer, bought my boat and the decals had been on there for 6 years and I took a blow dryer and it peeled off like magic. I would deff use the blow dryer method, you will be able to tell when the decals are soft enough to remove with just checking the corner with a plastics scrapper or what I used was my Driver's license, just to get it started and it peeled off really smooth without breaking into a thousand pieces

Yep, blowdryer on low heat. Any extra gooey stuff left can be removed by taking a rag and shooting some WD40 on the rag and cleaning up the area. Then some windex or other cleaner to take up the WD40.
Goo-Gone worked for me. And did not harm finish. Did take a little elbow grease.
