    Rooster Tail Question

    If rooster tail is very high which direction do you move motor?

    Down... Basically what is happening is that you are overtrimmed and the prop isn't carrying the bow. If you move the motor down on the jackplate/transom the prop will get more bite and should carry the bow better and this will result in less rooster tail. Typically a rooster tail up to the top of the motor cowling is normal for most bass boats when running wide open. If dropping the motor doesn't work, have more cup added to your prop
