    WHICH BRAND JACK PLATE

    Hi All,
I have a 09 Ranger 188 VX with a Mercury 175 Pro XS and have decided to put a manual jack plate on it. I have contacted Ranger and they tell me i can go with a 8" set back.
I have also decided to go with Bob's or T&H brand.
My problem is which brand and what model.
Can you help me by giving me your choice in
    Brand
    Model
    and reason for your choice
    I really appreciate the help
    Thanks

Re: WHICH BRAND JACK PLATE (BadAttitude)

I run a 6 inch TH Marine Hi Jacker Pro HP which is the high performance line....built heaver, I also run the plane plate on the bottom which works great for back wash when letting off the throttle and does help a little when getting on plane.....
    Myself.....no complaints

Rapid jack is the best manual plate, rite hite is the worst. Everything else is somewhere between.

I have a 188 with a 175 hpdi and run a new z lock and love it. Very sturdy plate. I had a rite hite and sheared a bolt and almost lost the engine about two months ago. Call JR at Pitstop, he gave me a great deal.
