Here's my story:

I first read about Bob and Worldwide Marine Insurance right here on this forum and figured it was worth it to ask for a quote using his online request form (it took about 2 minutes). Bob replied a couple of days later with a quote that was $95.00 a year cheaper than I was paying AND it offered better coverage!! Well, it was a no brainer to switch my policy to Worldwide Marine, so I opened a policy in mid-May.

Then, a little more than 2 weeks after buying my new policy, I dinged a rock (luckily idling through a no wake zone) and it damaged my SS prop and bent the prop shaft.

Once I saw the estimates for repairing the prop and replacing the shaft, I knew I would need to file a claim and that is something I had never done before. I have to admit I was both nervous and embarrassed when I called Bob's office and spoke with Diana. I was a new customer and certainly didn't want my relationship with Worldwide Marine to be anything more than every past situation where I buy the coverage, but never need the coverage.

It turned out that I had no reason to worry. Every conversation with the great folks at Worldwide Marine was stress free, professional and friendly. I had conversations with four different people (mostly because of a fax number mistake) and always had unbelievable service from each.... including 2 calls from Bob Luellen making sure things were all right!

I live in Vermont, have my insurance agent in Michigan, had the incident in NH, and work in Maine (where I had the boat repaired and dealt with a local adjuster - who insisted that EVERYTHING was inspected, repaired and/or replaced). Yet I always felt like I was receiving personal service from a business just down the road. Although I would have preferred that the claim never happened, it was a pleasure dealing with each and every person at Worldwide Marine Insurance.

Thanks Bob, Diana, Stacy and Jim!! You are all class acts!
