Had a heck of a time launching the boat at Summersville this morning, but it was worth the trouble. Second cast of the day caught this 18 1/4" 4lb smallie, my personal best.
I know this is a terrible picture....let me explain. I intended on keeping my best 6 just to see what kind of weight i would've had at the end of the day. After catching that first fish i struggled with the livewell which was frozen shut for a long time, then decided just to snap a couple pics and throw it back. Took the first one, then one more and put her back in the water. After releasing her i looked at the second pic of her on my phone, which was her on the golden rule board. It turned out great....however it said "failed to save" because i ran out of space. So i ended up losing that pic.
But it was still a fantastic day for me. I later caught this one after freeing up some space on my phone. He's 3lbs, or maybe an ounce shy. 15 3/4".
A gentleman at the ramp at quitting time helped me get a couple pics of my 2nd and 3rd biggest fish of the day.
And here is my best 6 minus the 4lber. My best 6 including the 4lber wouldve weighed between 13 and 14 lbs. My personal best bag.
