Fishing partner and I fished Anna on Saturday. We managed to catch 15 or so up the North Anna (mostly small or slot fish). Caught most on spinnerbaits around grass and jigs around wood. Still can't seem to get on the bigger fish consistently. Water temps seemed good for the spawn, but on caught one female that appeared ready to lay. Looked for beds but none seemed recent. I have a tournament next Saturday and was wondering if anyone could give me a few suggestions. It seems that the local boys went out Saturday and were catching 23-24lbs!! Do I need to be working the main lake points and pockets this weekend to locate post spawn fish? Any help would be appreciated. Thanks---James Harner
