    Lake Whitney

I hope this lake warms up before next month. The water temp was 47 degrees! I've never seen water that cold before.

I fished Sat. from noon to dark, and Sun. from dayligh to noon. I got a bite around 1500 Sat. on a crankbait. That was the highlight of the trip. When I got in my truck Sun. morning, the OAT was 31 degrees! What was I thinking? I was mostly concerned with seeing what the lake looked like and what kind of cover the lake had, so, I guess mission accomplished. It would have been nice to catch something. I'm just glad I didn't get frost bite.

I tried drop-shots, hula grubs, shakey heads, and crankbaits around main lake bluffs, and tributary points. I fished rip-rap and standing timber near main lake channel drops. I pretty much threw the book at these fish and came up with nothing. I'm open to suggestions.
