Customer Joe Murphy from Arkansas really enjoyed his trip to Lake Falcon this past week as you can see in the pictures posted. The weather was perfect down south except for Tuesday afternoon when a cool front blew in and kicked up the winds from the north, and also ran over into Wednesday, this really helped the blade bite on those two days. Otherwise light S/SE winds and high 80 degrees all week. The lake is falling now which has really helped the fish get into their fall pattern. On this trip fish were located in 10-12 ft of water on creek channel drops. Some of the fish came on the blade in 3-5 ft of water. Water temp 74 degrees. Lake level 12 ft and dropping. Six fish were caught over 8 lbs. The blade bite will just get better as the month moves on, but majority of fish were caught on plastics. I will be spending alot time on Falcon between now and the end of year, as this lake is a incredible fishery and can produce some really big fish. You never know on Falcon when your next cast could be a 10+ and a fish of a lifetime. Competing in the Bassmaster events the (WBT tour) I have had a chance to fish many good fisheries, but Falcon has been and always will be my favorite lake in the United States. You just have to love South Texas and Falcon Lake and I love introducing people to the lake whenever I can, and they always come back to fish again.
