I have a 1991 200 johnson that i have been trying to identify so i can repaint it to the original color and decal scheme. the model# is E200STLEID. I have searched several websites for a 200 johnson cowl from 1985 to 1997 and the cowl i have is different from the factory cowls shown from these year models. Is it possible that the cowl on my motor is an aftermarket cowl?
Pix is kind of small. You can get the OEM color but the decals are not available any longer. Maybe iguana grapix can help you out on that.
Here is a bigger pic of the cowl. notice that the louvers are on the front and the ones on the side are made into the cowl and not attached like on the factory cowls.....
Not sure if it helps but I have a 1990 GT200 and my louvers are seperate components like you said. I have seen that style before but cant think of what engine it was on. However I do like the look of it! It reminds me of the early 2000 models though.
The factory color for mine is called charcoal metallic.
