As you may know from my prior reports, I am very fortunate to have a good friend who is retired and a die hard striper fisherman. The bite is improving on Texoma and he invited me to go with him after church Sunday morning. It was a little after 2:00 PM when we loaded in at Soldier Creek. Just a little wind to put a ripple on the 70 degree clear water. We headed north toward the RR Bridge looking for birds feeding on the surface. We found a few and caught a few fish. We had our best luck southwest of Soldier Creek later in the afternoon. Although the action appeared to be on the surface, all the fish were caught a few feet off the bottom with char/white slabs. It was strange...if you slow rolled a sassy shad through the school at the surface you would feel them run into it but they did not hit it.

The three of us caught three limits of fish. We did not catch any of the 20" or longer fish of which you can only keep two.
