97 Intruder 150, with updates/pinned heads. Question pertains to, what happens on the cyclinders where the plugs are not indexed? When I got the boat I noticed they were not, so I moved em around and got 4 of the 6 in the right zone. It's time to change plugs, and the dealer only has 6...which means surely there will be one or 2 that wont index. I wanted to get 8 hoping to get 6 that would end up in the right zone. And dang them thangs are expensive.....9.10 a piece?
i got the same plugs from advance auto parts for under $6 each, they had to order them, but it was an overnight item.

Now....back to my question about indexing.....do you just lose a little performance on a cylinder thats not indexed or are there worse repercussions? I'm hoping out of 8 plugs I can get 6 in the zones, but if I can't, what happens?
You have 90* either side of the injector. Check the link at the top of the boards under the one stop shopping link and look for the plug indexing link.
Championman... Not trying to hijack a post OR take any of your business, but have a question on using plugs with multiple electrodes and superfine platinum center electrodes so as NOT to require indexing? I run such a plug in my Chevy V-8's and have for years and I get excellent result over any other plug I have tried. Been using them for almost 10 years. What is your opinion?

OK Bassmeister, did ya buy up all the Champions from O'Reillys?They supposedly ordered from their warehouse in GA last Thursday, be here in 2 days. Saturday comes......2 more days. Yesterday passes, now they just look at me with a blank stare. No help at all.
Had to go higher up to get help....none in GA. The manager assures me he'll find them somewhere tomorrow. I'm missin out on some good bites while I'm dead in the water.
what part#'s are they, i have a set i never used, i installed them, but never started the motor.

Preciate the offer dude. They assure me 6 will be here in the morning. That will get me back on the water. Turns out the manager is a bass fisherman too, he understands.
