    Fuel pump

Is it possible to replace/rebuild just the fuel pump in the VRO system. I have had a fuel issue for some time and it's looking like a pump problem. I don't want to replace the entire VRO if I don't have to. Is it possible that the fuel pump is bad but the oil mixing system is fine? E175GLEDB. Thanks.

well technically yes the fuel side can go bad and not affect the oil side, but all in all the pump has failed. you can rebuild the entire pump but all to often the rebuild will fail. you will be far better off buying a new pump and installing it. at least you will know it is new and wont have to worry about it for a long time.

another thought, are you sure it is your vro ? what is your fuel issue you are talking about what is the engine doing?

    Re: Fuel pump (J E R E M Y)

It starts great and idles fine and very quick to get on plane, then dies. No sputter just dies. Bulb is empty. Pump it up, same thing. I have replaced all fuel lines from the tank, with no leaks or restrictions anywhere. It is just not getting enough fuel to run. I agree with what you say about getting a new VRO. After all it is 14 years old. It's not a time to be cheap. I thought about running it off a portable tank to help eliminate anti siphon valve problem. Thanks for your reply.

That's where I would start before laying out big $$$.
