Ya it wasn't great this weekend for fishing. Got out with my Dad as planned yesterday, and the wind kicked the crap out of us. He only got 2, and I got 4, all rats. All on spinnerbaits too, but it was rough, and damn cold in the wind.
The wind is alway tough this time of year.
As luck will most likely have it,like most years.
The wind will drop off and it will warm up just in time for hunting season.![]()

I guarantee that the wind will drop off, and we'll have a little week long warm up, the last week of October. Why you ask? Because I'll be in Florida on vacation all that week, and that's just my kind of luck. Last day out of the year is Halloween morning, day after I get back. It better not be windy and/or raining that day, or it'll be a crappy last day of fishing.
Wind??? If you plan on fall fishing....you best get used to it. It's not going anywhere.

Ya what Mac said
Hit Bow Lake yesterday, 2 good size pickerel and a 3lb largie. The wind kept us limited also. Tough day

Wind is my friend in the fall. Pick the deepest shoreline getting pounded with the wind and start chunking that spinnerbait out there. I always have great luck doing that in the fall and pre spawn in the spring. Maybe I am the only one.....

Wind is ok...but not the 30-35 mph stuff we had up here Sat/Sun. Ask the boys fishing the NBS Tx of Champions on Winni. 4-5 ft on Sat, only 3-5 ft on Sunday!
It was so brutal up here I didn't go out until today...first Sat/Sun without fishing since April![]()

Everyone has to have their limits, and at least you got out today. Supposed to be really nice out on Wednesday, I'm going to try to hit the Nashua River after work and see what I can dig up. Looks like it's going to be even worse this coming weekend than this past weekend.
