Went to Winnisquam for the first time on Monday. Real nice launch and lake, but I have come to the conclusion that I know nothing about clear water lakes. Went looking for vegetation with little luck until late in the day at the North end. Tried fishing thew Soth end shallow area but just don't get it. Too many years of river fising for LM I guess. My partner did pick up a 1-14 SM to match my one snake with sharp teeth. Really hurts to get shut out and have HER catch the only fish. I guess I need to continue reading this forum to pick up pointers as most of the bigger lakes are clear.
