Russ (lunchman) and I went out this morning at 8:45. I was 15 minutes late because everything in my boat was frozen and I spent 20 minutes thawing it out. It was relatively calm morning but the fish didn't co-operate. the water temp was a balmy 40 degrees. We tried searching the deeps for them but couldn't find them anywhere. At about 12:00, I was reeling in my crankbait and it just stopped. I gave it a pull and there was no resistance or tugging. As I reeled in I finally got a tug back. She put up a good fight towards the end. It was a beautiful 3 1/4 largemouth. It had some awesome markings to it's color. That was it for the day. We called it quits at 1:30.
In case you were wondering, I caught it on a red deep diving crank.
