What RPMs are safe to run on a '94 Evinrude 175 Intruder? (GLERA) I've been running it at about 5200, but I know it has more after seeing posts of guys running in the 6000 range.

engine developes its max hp at around 5000 to 5500 rpms, i seem to run the best at around 52/5300 on my faststrike 150. your in the right range

Had a 93 rude 150 and it made alot of power from 5400 to 5800 rpms ,would pick up abought 10 mph.
