    Walnut 10/8

Fished from abt 1130 till 3 pm. Terrible! Only got 2. 1 was short (maybe 12 if I stretched him) and the other was right at 15. Plastics in about 6 ft. Cranked most of the time and never got a hit both the weedlines and deep. Water temp is still 69-70! Figured it would be a bit cooler!

Yep. Sounds about right. Water is still warm. Do you think the fish are still scattered feeding on baitfish? My boat is down for repairs for a while, so I don't think I'll be fishing Walnut for a few weeks. I have a 12' John boat that I fish some of the local sand pits with. Best fishing anywhere. Tough to get a big boat in most of them though.

Tony it is surprising not to be getting them pretty good right now. It must be the warmer weather/water temps. I'm catching fish fairly well now, but they are scattered quite a bit. The water temp at Beaver was 68 or so on Monday afternoon. The fish are all fat (nothing over 17") which is nice to see - so they are eating well. Hopefully the weather will behave for this week.

I hate being without a boat. Mine was down for 3-weeks this summer and it sucked. When you getting yors back?

Have NO idea. Got a bad power trim motor. Still haven't decided what to do with it just yet.

I had to pay a fortune to get my 27 month old hyd plate fixed. At least it is fixed now.
