    Wildwood Lake........7/29

Got a chance to get out Yesterday afternoon.....saturday ended up being a bust for me and Sunday morning it was raining and Just wasnt in the mood to get wet not that I dont have rain gear but I hate sweating my arse off in raingear

Wildwood lake is back!!!! Water levels are above normal right now but is good with all the Flooded shoreline! Looked in couple areas for piles but hard to pick up with weeds mixed in it. Water temp was around 80, +/- a degree in areas. cloudy and temps in mid 70's by time I was on water.

OK......got out at 1300....fished SW side of lake in wood.......pitched small jig and 7.5" worm.......had several ticks on worm but beleive they were more Gills than anything else.....caught 1st fish farther back in cove in 6-7ft of water on 7.5" worm. Not a bad fish....probably 16" and was FAT.....2-2.25 lbs once leaving area wind was up from E to SE area pushin into it.....switched to spinnerbait and did not catch anything. Went to North Cove/Wood and used jig, worm and swim bait in deeper water....no bites......Switched over to a Woolt hawgtail and nailed one right away on mouth of pocket..........continued to duplicate the pattern and did not catch another bass Left around 1700.

So 2 fish on soft plastics in 4 hours....not bad I guess

Supposed to be a couple nice fish in there. They moved a couple hundred fish from a couple pounds up to 6 lbs from Meadowlark when they drained to to renovate. Looking forward to what used to be my favorite fishery to be back.

I need to fish some of the other lakes around here. I'm carp fishing this weekend, my boat is out of commission. The Jack Plate is gone to Pennsylvania for repair. So it is "take a couple trash fish" out of the lake fishing for me this weekend.

The conditions were tough. We caught 3 and had one nice one (if there is such a thing) break my 6lb test under the dock. I'll probably be carp fishing again next weekend as well.

We'll see! After being on my own for the last 10 years I'm pretty set in my ways so I suppose time will tell!

I see, living with the fishing partner? That's like being married. So did you get to upgrade any of your stuff from this move?
