Pickwick?

Hello all,
I am heading to Pickwick for the first time; the last weekend of March around the full moon with a couple buddies. Can anyone give us some tips on where to stay, best place to launch, and where/how to catch some giant smallmouth?

JP Coleman State Park in Mississippi, or Pickwick State Park in Tennessee. Both have very nice accommodations. The lodge at Pickwick has a restaurant, that's really the only difference. Try the gravel bars on the main lake, there is a really good one at mile 209.6. There is also a Hampton Inn if your looking for a hotel type place to stay, but if I was going I'd stay at one of the Lodges.

Looks like we are staying North - very near Aqua Yacht Harbor Marina. Anyone have any tips for that general area for end of March?

Give us the details of your trip. I just bought a boat Saturday and want to fish Pickwick this year. It has been awhile since I fished for smallies. Good luck and leave some for seed!!
