I keep forgetting to post that the boat ramp at Rogue's Harbor is closed. I have not paid enough attention to the sign to know if it states for how long. I will try to check it out better and see what it says.

Elk Neck State Park Boat Launch Ramps To Close For Renovations
North East, MD (March 8, 2010) — The Maryland Park Service will temporarily close the boat launching ramps in the Rogue’s Harbor area of Elk Neck State Park for renovations on or after March 22, due to safety concerns during the construction project. This area will remain closed for up to 10 weeks.

The Maryland Park Service will make every effort to minimize the length of this closure; however, the exact length of closure depends on many conditions, including suitable weather and tidal conditions.

The existing piers, pilings and bulkhead were damaged by several storms and those damages will be repaired. Additionally, the decking on the piers and bulkhead will be replaced. The project will provide a safe and user friendly launching facility accessible to the public.
