Went to the lake today for the first time in about 10 years. Low 30's with water temp about 52 and mostly cloudy and very windy. Most fish were suspended in about 5 ft of water and couldn't get em to look at anything. Lunchtime ended up putting one 18.5in largemouth in the boat and 4 pickerel. Fished from 9-1pm.
Hey did you target any walleye , heard deep creek can be a real challenge!!! Nice lgmouth
Nope didn't target any walleye but did see a couple walleye boats up there. I don't know if they produced or not though.
All I keep hearing about is how bad of shape that lake is in? How did it look to you?

Yeah...it seems to be in pretty bad shape. From what I remember the lake was down about 7-8ft??? Almost all the docks were pulled b/c the water was so low. The docks that were in were sitting in mud and hardly fishable.
It is down because they had to repair some values in the dam. They finished the repairs and it is coming back up now. - DC
