Everything I heard from there is a couple weeks old...alot has happened since then...the water has just about died...you can smell it from the interstate

Last I heard the water was black and dead fish everywhere. If anyone has been there let me know. Wife's in the mood for a fishing trip.

OK. Just got back from Henderson. The water is BLACK. Below I-10 the smell is terrible. North of I-10 the water cleaned up. still black, but no dead fish or smell. Bijou has plenty of current to wash that crap out. We didn't catch any fish, but I think that is just because of my fish catching ability. I think you can catch a few north of the bridge with the patience. Oh, I did snag one Gah about 24", so I guess I didn't get skunked. Been takin' lessons from SCWildBill.

Fished henderson this weekend, caught 7 with 2 being very nice fish....... most were caught on points and on the back side of liliy pads.......
Had 1 about 2 1/2 lbs. and another 3 to 3 1/2 lbs....... only got to fish for 4 hours before the big storms blew in..........

Report for Henderson swamp this past weekend was that the bass fishing was fair with a few nice ones being caught & reported. The water level is still at the 14' mark and falling just a little..... The Texas canal and the cuts & drains along it have been paying off. Also on the northern flats along the drains & grass/weed lines.......Spinnerbaits in white/chart, some top water baits in chome/blue & chome/black along with ribbit frogs early in the morning hours hour been good....work the grass/weed lines with the baits early and then work the drains.....
