Palestine is a good lake for panfish this time of year, as for bass, I have had alot better luck in the spring as soon as the ice comes off, I mean a week or two after the ice. I have had really good luck catching nice crappie all the way throught the summer into the fall, also a really good lake to ice fish on. the ramp is great plenty of parking too. The lake is kinda shallow but a pretty nice place. Not a lot of pleasure boaters either.... good luck and let me know how you did.

good bass lake last time i was there it had a lot of moss on the surface and they loved a frog seems they are very sensitive to bright sunny days. in the fall we do well with black and blue jigs in 5 to 8 feet each section of lake has a bowl just keep working the edges - shallow if overcast good luck also lake is 10mph
