    5/4 Culver Lake "Maxinkuckee"

Well took the day off and went to Maxinkuckee and tried our luck. This was my first time on this lake. We managed two Smallies and one nice rock bass. We had a nice smallie that came unbuttoned right at the boat. Fish were caught on a craw colored tube and a new jig minnow plastic swim type jig. Water was 60 degrees and clear it was pretty windy and a cold from had just come in. needless to say I didnt get a bite all day wife caught all the fish and of course I had to hear from her all day and hight and this morning who the mater fisherman was.

Re: 5/4 Culver Lake "Maxinkuckee" (maverick)

I fished maxi on friday the 5th. The water was clear and 60 degrees w/ the wind out of the nw, and blowing hard. The water was very rough so fishing the mainlake humps was hard. My dad and I managed to catch 15 bass with two keepers and 15 rockbass also. Only one smallie and it came of a mainlake hump. The Largies were caught under docks. All fish were caught on tubes and the fish are spawning HARD on the south end channels. We went into one and saw 30 to 50 beds is one channel. Good luck and good fishing.
