Good running engines, pull one drain plug to make sure it's been changed to the new ones with the tit on the end, instead of flat. Have the #2 carb hi speed jet checked for 2 sizes larger than the rest, and she'll be good to go.
what drain plugs, the only motor ive work on is my 60 hp merc 2 stroke, unless u mean the lower unit drain plug?

No he doesn't, he means the Drain plugs on the carb bowls....Check your carb drains and if you need the new Bowl drain plugs do a search and you should be able to find the part number pretty easily....

Correct the switch to the new style carb drain plug is to keep the High Speed Orifice (jet) secure in the float body. It doesn't allow it to back out and cause a lean out condition. Increasing the size of #2 carb by two sizes allows more fuel to help cooling of the #2 piston. New drain plug and O ring are part numbers 344267 and 395739 you'll need six of each.
Sounds like a similar diagnosis... I ordered them from ishopmarine... took a week for them to shipThey are scheduled for delivery Monday 3/8

Sure premix at 50:1 and run your fuel line up into the VRO pump on the fuel side make sure you use 3/8" hose.
