    96 venom 200 or 98 vindicator 200

Have it narrowed down to 2 Javelins. One with a 96 Venom and the other with a 98 Vindicator. They both have equal time on them. Which is the better motor if was a given they were treated and serviced the same? Why?

Also he says the 98 vindicator was a carb motor? Is that possible? He doesnt seem to be mechanicly inclined so its hard to say about him lol.

they are both the same engine, different paint. both are carbed. there is no difference between the two engines, besided the years. they are very strong engines. just make sure that the compression is equal on all cylinders before buying. its worth taking it to a reputable shop to have them look it over if your not sure.

The 98 is a carb engine. I just sold mine last year to get a new one. It was an outstanding engine. The guy I sold it to has had it for a year now and has not had a single problem.

The model number will tell you if it was an injected motor or not. But to answer your question the 98 Ven/dicators were carbed motors.
