the only ramp that is public is the county ramp it doesn;t open until about daylight the one on lake down is handicaped only.i dont remember the name of the county ramp just make shure you have on your walking shoes .

The U.S. Coast Guard is putting on its annual Armed forces tournament the third week of Feb on the Butler chain. I can pass info to any member who is interested, basically, $200 entry fee, 70% pay back big fish is 1,2, and 3rd each day. It is a 2 day event with practice on Thurs the 21st I believe, then friday/ sat tournament. Only requirement is one of the two members has to be active, reserve, retired military. It is a 7 fish limit, if fishing alone then five fish limit applies.

Chris I have not been at work, the past three days, I am guessing you got my email with the entry fee's and rules? I am sure you should be able to find a partner for this event, if not let me know and we may be able to help locate one for you either from here in Mobile or my friends back in Savannah. Post that you need a partner for this event in the Savannah river forum, on the Georgia page. One of them guys will do it. Actually i will post it for you check over there for responses.

I hope they're using the "club" ramp somehow, unless they've made provisions with the public ramp folks, cause they dont even open the gate till around 7:30.. That's the main reason we dont fish it more..
