Well very long weekend!! But the results turned out pretty good for me and my partner. We had found some fish on Friday when we pre-fished and went back to them Sat. and was very disapointed we couldnt get a bite. We went to our 2nd spot on the north side of Philly point and about the 3rd cast of a worm i caught the big fish of day 1...a 5.15. After scrambleing around all day we only could manage 3 fish weighing 8.85 but that was good enough to put us in 6th place going into Sunday. Sunday morning came around and we decided to run to a spot were on Sat. we new there was fish there but they were not biting. We pulled up first thing Sunday morning and we had a limit by 8:30...all on red shad green glitter worms. All decent chunks but one 12 incher. We had about 7 lbs and we went looking for a kicker. We new going into Sunday we were only 3lbs out of 1st and we were feeling very confident at this time!! That didn't matter, a front moved in about 11:00 and the wind blew us right out of our spot. It took us untill 1 hour before weigh in to finally catch our next fish.....but that fish weighed over 4lbs. At this time our culling scale said we had about 12 lbs and we were now feeling much better. By the way i caught that fish on a.......yes red shad green glitter worm in hatch in the hydrilla. To make a long story short we weighed in 11 lbs....(our scale was a little off) taking 2nd place missing 1st by about 1.5 lbs.....but we did manage taking the big bass pot for Sunday with the 4.5 lber. After everthing was over we managed to walk away with a check for $1244.46, 2 brand new flipping sticks and 4 trophys. For all you that really just want to know how the fishing was and where the fish were bitting...patterns..ect. We had really no set pattern..we kind of did the Run and Gun offense to muster up all our fish. I really cant be much more specific on spots due to i am fishing in our clubs 6 man team tourney for the federation nation next weekend out of Toho. By the way just over 20 lbs won our 2 day classic......it is really tough on the chain right now....good luck to all fishing any time soon. Congrats to some of the Lakeland boys...they weighed in there 1 day tourney right after us and the had some bigger fish weighed in but not many limits!! I know the fish were much more active Sun. than Sat.
