    Fuel flow sensor problems

    Hi there

I have a 2007 225 HO Etec. The motor was recently placed onto a new hull and ever since the fuel flow gauge has not been working. I have standard BRP dials (white analogue with silver trim). I am hoping its a simple fix that i can do to save me having to tow for a couple of hours back to the dealer. I have checked the direction on the sensor and it appears to be right. When i have the motor running the option measuring FFLOW is constant at 0.0 LH. Obviously this affects all the settings which can tell you how much fuel you have used and what is left in the tank based on the inital input amount.

Is there a calibration issue perhaps or a simple wiring fault that any of you may have experienced before that might help me to solve this?

Thanks in advance for any advice offered.

Re: Fuel flow sensor problems (basstimmer)

Are you using the lowrance fuel flow sensor? Could be a few things, sensor isn't plugged into the network, network isn't plugged into your gauges, or the network isn't powered so no data is being sent to your gauges.

The gauge sounds like the "Commander" series. It has a narrow LED screen on the bottom of the gauge. The fuel flow sensor uses a turbine wheel. The turbine is most likely jammed with something.

    Hi there

No its not lowrance connected, just the standard guage that came with the motor.

    Thanks Mead

Ill have a look into that and see if thats the issue. If the sensor was wired wrong would that impact whats displayed on the LED screen? It constantly displays 0.0LH.
