    Miller's Ferry

Heading up to do some fishing this weekend; anybody have any reports of what they're biting, if they're biting? Thanks.

We were catching them on Frogs & Spinnerbait early then plastics in deep water once the sun comes up and it gets hot. Water is in the upper 70's with some isolated 80's.

FYI, the snakes are crawling, they're everywhere, also the shad are starting to spawn and the gar are tearing them up.

I can "second" the snakes, they are everywhere... we found the fish to be biting buzz baits early, then spinnerbaits later as well as plastics deep (like you said)... decent fish caught but nothing over 3lbs.... Buzzard's Roost area seemed to be the most productive... south part of lake is pretty muddy...

    Re: Miller's Ferry (peglegpete)

The water has been messed up since November all on lakes in this area. We fished a tournament yesterday on Coffeeville Lake and the water was horrible. It was muddy and wayy to swift. I found two slough's that were clear enough to fish.

Anyway, we have a big tournament at Millers Ferry on June 5th so hopefully the water will clear up by then. All tournaments have been averaging 16-19lbs. so I really have to practice and eliminate water.

I've fished Buzzard's Roost a lot but it's too pressured so the fish doesn't bite like they used to. There are some good fish in there but they have gotten smart.
