    Wilson Lake?

Anybody fished Wilson in the last few weeks, I am going to try and go Sat and run the gas out of the boat so I can put the cover on it and put it up for about 2 months. I am haveing surgery on my elbow the day after Christmas so no fishing for awhile and would love to catch some to end the year on a good note.

    Thanks,
    Brad

I heard that they are catching some good ones below the dam, drifting shad.

Yeah two guys I work with went last Friday and caught 6 while they were pulling water, but as soon as they stop pulling they quit bitting. I think I am going to Shoal Creek just incase the wind gets up.

    Thanks,

everybody I have been talking to says it tough up there right now. For the average non drifting shad people.

i went up there today and we caught three maby in the 2lb range or little less. caught a small smallie. caught them on a shakey head. i bet i saw 10 million shad just bunched up in different places. that may be why its hard to catch them they arent hungry.

We need a good cold winter to kill out alot of the shad, I think that's alot of the problem for most of the North Alabama lakes.

We went for about 3 hours Saturday and caught 3 biggest was about 3 lbs. all on a homemade football head shakeyhead with a ZOOM ultra vibe speedcraw in green pumpkin in about 4 feet of water. We also saw about 150 trillon shad. The fish we caught were short and fat, looked like footballs.
