Got a CARE package from Mud Hole today!!!!

An early Merry Christmas to me!!!

I received my order from Mud Hole Custom Tackle today. It contained almost all the parts to build three new rods this winter - one reel seat was backordered. I'll be building a 6'6" spinning rod on a MB783 (Medium Heavy Fast) blank and two 7' casting rods on MB843 (Medium Heavy Fast) and MB844 (Heavy Fast) blanks, all using Fuji Alconite guides. These will be my first builds using their MHX blanks, and a cursory inspection shows them to be high quality, straight and reasonably light, especially for their price point.

You will like the MB843. I built one this summer, and it is a great blank! I use it as my worm rod on Lake Guntersville.

Funny you should mention that Bert, because G'ville is the reason I'm building these particular rods. It's only about 5 miles from my house as the crow flies and wimpy rods just don't cut it here.

Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

I have a custom rod built on a Loomis 843 blank for C rigging and I love it. I asked for this blank specifically because of the sensitivity it had with the right amount of backbone for deep C riggin. If the MHX blanks are anything like the original blanks (which I think they were built to replicate) you'll love this rod for T Rigs and C rigs!
