I've been stocking up on Gamakatsu cobra head jigs lately, with a plan to powder paint them myself and tie the rubber skirts on then adding the weed guard. I decided to Macguyver a powder paint fluid bed, since I didn't feel like springing for one that costs 99.00 or even 40 to 50 bucks. I built one for about 10.00, and best of all it worked the first time I tried it. The brass compression valve was the most expensive part. I even have 2 cups for different color paint. I used 2" pvc, an end cap, a coupling and two threaded male couplings. I put a coffee filter on each threaded coupling and used them as paint cups. They fit perfectly into the standard coupling. The standard coupling and end cap were epoxied together and the valve screwed in on the end cap.

I used a small aquarium pump for power and in the second photo you can see the heat gun I use to heat the heads. Man what a better option than using a candle like I did in the past. Every jig I did was perfect. Can't beleive I didn't do this before.

By the way, I have those two Presto pots for sale if anyone wants them. they are new assembled out of the box and I've never fired them up. Make me a fair offer and they are yours.
