I am looking for a 5'6" pistol grip rod for topwater and jerkbait use. I am just not comfortable jerking to the side and hate hitting the water with the rod on the downstroke. Any ideas?

you could trim a few inches off the butt of just about any 6'0" blank... food for thought
any custom builder should be able to hook you up. I did a similar rod for a buddy but did it with a 5" straight handle. a St croix 3c60mf would be a good choice
I reached out to one of the custom rod sponsers to see what he can do. Hopefully he can hook me up.
