I've never used those 2 but I have a Castaway 904 from Swampland that is awesome.

I've built alot of the Batcon CB80MH rods. Sent 10 or so of them the guys on Lake Erie last year & a few for Kentucky Lake. Just took an order for 4 more for Kentucky Lake guys. I keep hearing that once you have a fish on, you can't loose him.

I have built and use the Batson CB80MH blanks and like them. I use them for larger crankbaits and traps. If he wants to through shad raps, small Bandits... well head to a lighter blank, but if he wants it for bigger baits then go for it.

    I prefer glass - lamiglass MB 90 1F or MB 84 1E or the Seeker SBC-706 Sglass
planning on trying out that castaway xp3 though. heard good things about it.
