    Painters (Yellow Stripe)

    Guys,

I buddy of mine painted a couple of cranks for me last year in the sexy-shad patter (pretty innovative )…anyway, the yellow stripe that runs along the side of the bait disappeared by the end of the season…not sure if it was a UV deal or the clear coat (used Entex). He used a marker color pen.

Any advice on what you guys are using to make the yellow stripe so it doesn’t disappear would be great.

    Thanks

Sounds like he used a yellow high-lighter to make the stripe. As you have discovered, markers are not light-fast. This is particularly true with florescent colors. To avoid rapid fading, he should use a paint that is compatible with the rest of his system.
