Question is from my Dad. The boat is currently in the shop, so don't have a serial number for the motor.
Brought the engine in for it's 3 year check-out a few months ago. After 2 trips or so, started acting sluggish. Could only get to 5000 rpms. Brought back to the shop and they said it was bad plugs and put a new set on. Went on a fishing trip this week and same problem, except this time, barely could get on plane and motor died often at idle.
Brought the boat back to the dealer and they said Injector No3 bad. My question is should he worry about cylinder damage with a bad injector? With a bad injector is the cylinder still get some fuel/oil just not in a good spray to burn? Is oil injected separately than the fuel on Evinrudes or mixed prior?
