Anyone ever use molding putty to play around with new designs before making/buying a real mold?
I have used durhams water putty. You can use a piece of plexi glass and glue your design to the plexi glass and then pour the durhams water putty over it and let it set/cure. Once cured then remove plexi glass and use elmers glue and coat the mold and then you can pour your idea/creation into that one.

I will check that stuff out. I was watching Hunt for Big fish and it showed one of the guys take a pink looking putty, make a mold of a jig/spinner head and once set, pour lead into it to make the spinner head...just curious he called it molding putty...
