Cheaper to keep a kid in tourney fishing than paying attorneys to keep them out of jail !!

Benn using this for a few months, so far it works great! http://www.targetcoatings.com/super-clear.html
Low odor, tough, easy to use & clean up, and not overly expensive.

That stuff looks great. I have a dumb question...Is it compatible with water based paints? I tried some stuff they use on model planes recently and it ate up the paint.

I think it was called Aeroglass. I thought it would work well since it was thin and easy to work with. I'll give this stuff a try.

I tried the same coating awhile back after reading about it on tackleunderground........I didn't have a good experience with it. Very easy to use. I let the lures cure for 8 days after 4 coats. Took them out on the water......3 cast later the clear peeled off.......could never get it to harden up. I could dig my fingernail in it after 8-10 days of curing

Re: Moisture Cure Urethane Update (jclark408)

Ok couple of questions since I like everyone else is always looking for the perfect clear has anyone tried to spray this stuff? Is it being sprayed or dipped or brushed? Comparing prices with dick nites it looks to be about the same if I read it right so why switch from D/N's? If I can find something better than D/n's I'll try it but so far I havent found anything....at least that is sprayable

Re: Moisture Cure Urethane Update (Ky 521)

Although I usually am a big fan of epoxy after trying Dick Nite's I do like it even though my first experience with it was not so hot. A great finish on a bait but my problem was in use and storage but with bloxoygen that problem was solved.

I do plan on trying the Plecuid in the future however.

Target coatings, my experience is much like Mercury97, check the picture below. The stuff is very easy to use and does not present any of the storage problems of DN but if you use it on anything near water its usless. The bait pictured had 3 dips with 24hrs between dips and was allowed to cure for 3 weeks before fishing. 15min. and 2 small bass and the result is serious peeling. I have experimented with both EM9300EXT and EM9000 and the results are the same with both. If you try this on a foiled bait you might as well just paint it light gray because it will give the foil the same look. Gym floors and coffee tables it works fine.

I like the fact that people are always looking for something better... but for now it sounds like I'll stick with my D2T. No problems with it yet...
