what are you going to use it on. I wouldn't spray it there is better paint to spray. also it has some nasty stuff in it and spraying just makes it worse.

I wouldnt spray it either, but if you must. You will need to add retarding thinner so it doesnt spider web when shot through a gun.

I use to paint jigheads with it, but went to powder paint a couple of years ago.

I would venture far far away from spraying vinyl paint.....unless your health means nothing

Depends on what you're wanting to do. We've used solvent based vinyl for years and I wouldn't part with it for anything when it comes to detailing. It evacuates fast so recoating is quick and easy, and there are no issues with fisheyes in the clear due to trapped moisture. It sprays like a dream when it's thinned to the right consistency. It comes in clear, which is great for suspending glitters and pearls.

On the minus side, it's not a durable finish so a separate clear must be applied over it. It's not compatable with some clears, so it's best to stick with what other vinyl users are suggesting. And, it's not something that you can just set up and use anywhere.

If you decide to use solvent based vinyl there are some IMPORTANT safety considerations that make it less appealing or practical to the hobbyist. The fumes are highly flammable so it can't be used or stored around open flames like water heaters and furnaces. The fumes are dangerous to breathe so a NIOSH approved full respirator with organic solvent cartridges must be worn. No facial hair allowed - the respirator won't seal. It should only be used where there's appropriate ventilation. The thinner is MIBK, so read and follow the MSDS for that.
