need some help with my melter pot

    I have a Lee pro 4-20 pot ( http://www.do-itmolds.com/product.aspx?i=257 )

I hadn't used it in a while ..was gonna make some jig heads tonight.. pluged it in and it fired right up .. melted just fine. But I guess there's possibly some corrosion on the tip of the rod that goes into the spout ???

It just will NOT close off .. had to use a paperclip and clean out the hole a little .. then i finally got it to stop .. then a few minutes later, I can't get it to flow until I clean it out again .. suggestions ???

Mine does that sometimes and it just pisses me off! Not sure how I fix it as it seems to be different every time? Try turningg down the heat some and moving the handle up and down. I think some crud gets stuck around the hole and the lead is so hot and fluid it just flows right out?

I have the same pot. It does leak some. I take a cordless drill and a flat tip and spin the plunger fast to clean it up good... Works for a while again...
