I have a spinning rod that I like that the guides are about to come off. I was wondering if I could add more guides to the rod or if they need to be put back where they were? It is a Shimano Crucial? 6'6" MH

After removing the old guides and cleaning the thread and epoxy off you can add as many guides as you want and put them where ever you want.
Be careful removing the tip, sometimes Shimano and a few other manufactures use a stronger epoxy on the tip and they are sometime tough to remove.

Thanks for the reply. The rod model is Scabard by shimano, sorry. Where do I find a sizing chart for the replacement guides? I would like to use slightly smaller guides on the top part of the rod so it will go in my rod organizer a little easier.
If you are going to just replace a few guides or replace all of them here is a link to the Fuji Concept chart http://www.anglersresource.net/ar/pdf/guide.pdf it will give you a rough idea of where to place them and the sizes of the guides to use.
If you are replacing them all I suggest getting a Fuji Concept guide kit. It comes with all of the guides needed. You can get them from Jann's Netcraft (a board sponsor) in Alconite, Hardloy or SiC
Here are a couple of articles from Tom Kirkman on guide placement hope this helps.

What guides would you recommend for braided line?
The SiC guides. If you can stand the noise you could go with the REC recoil guides but they are very noisy with braid.
You have had some great information and sources provided to you. As for what guides to use, the Ti/Sic are certainly the best and will be quieter with the braided line. I would add that the Fuji Alconites would be a reasonable choice and considerably less expensive than the Ti/Sic. I'll just add that on a 6'6" spinning rod, these are the sizes of guides that I'd typically use. These are chrome but they are also available in black frames.

I personally use RECoils on all of my spinning rods and I love them. That being said, I don't throw much braid, so noise isn't an issue for me!![]()
Hope that helps........George
Thank you for the response. All of you have helped a bunch.
